Skills Nights with New England Training Systems

The Whalers Board of Directors is pleased to announce the engagement of New England Training Systems (“N.E.T.S.”) to run our Skills Nights for all age levels through the remainder of the season. These sessions will be lead by Dannel Malloy and Ryan Hatch with the assistance of our coaches. The BOD is excited to offer this benefit to the development of our young players in the organization and would like to thank, Bob Crawford, for making this arrangement possible.

Dannel has over 15 years of coaching experience at various age groups and levels. Dannel played for the Division 1 Rochester Institute of Technology Men’s Ice Hockey Team, as well as the Single A Danbury Whalers.  Dannel earned MVP team honors in high school for both ice hockey and cross country, along with being selected as an All-State Division 1 First Team Selection in CT for ice hockey.

Ryan attended Mount St. Charles Academy in Woonsocket, RI where he was a 3 year Varsity player.  Upon graduating from high school, Ryan played for the Lone Star Cavalry in the North American Hockey League (NAHL). After playing 2 years of Junior hockey Ryan attended Canisius College, then transferred to Salem State where he held the starting goaltending position for 3 years. With opportunities to go play Minor pro, Ryan decided that it was time to hang up the pads and follow his passion for coaching.
